10h00 : Arrival in Gordes, one of the most beautiful villages in France. Free time to explore the village and discover the calades...
10h30 : En route for Roussillon, a village famous for its ochre quarries, a deposit found in the clay soil that gives it vibrant yellow, orange and red hues. Mining for ochre became very popular in the latter part of the 18th Century when the industry reached its peak in this area. Today the site is protected and the ochre no longer mined.
11h00 : The tour continues on to the hilltop villages of Lacoste, the famous fashion designer,Pierre Cardin, owns the chateau at the top of the village. Free time to enjoy the art galleries, stroll along the quaint streets and see the beautifully kept stone houses.
12h00 Bonnieux ou Ménerbes, it's your choice for the lunch stop. We can recommend two restaurants at Bonnieux and another in Ménerbes to suit your needs and wishes. Ménerbes is, in our opinion, more conducive to a romantic stopover with a visit to the House of Truffles and Wine for lovers or lovers of wine and truffles.
14h30 : Off to Lourmarin via "la Combe", a winding road that follows the path of the L'Aigue Brun river, separating two mountain ranges: the "Petit Luberon" and the "Grand Luberon". Lourmarin welcomes you with its Renaissance castle built in the 15th Century, its blossoming cherry trees in Spring, its surrounding vineyards and its streets with their hundred-year old fountains. You may be lucky enough to see one of its famous residents enjoying a coffee on one of the cafés' terraces. Lourmarin is a popular stop with its boutique shops and art galleries. We could include some wine tasting at Château Constantin or Domaine de Fontenille
